I went to Gion Matsuri on July 12.
This festival has held for over 1100years.
Gion festival takes place entire month of July.

Unfortunately, it was rainy.
However, I enjoyed to walk in a very cool weather in Kyoto this season.
In general, summer walk in Kyoto is very hot..

+It is a miniature of Yamahoko, which is correctly positioned.
Yamahoko is the decorated floats which is made by every town in Kyoto.
These floats will be paraded through streets on every July 17th.
+I saw they were building Yamahoko with the longest history when I went there.
There are Yamahoko from many community.
