The boundary between the sapwood and the heartwood is distinct, the sapwood is white, the heartwood is pale red to reddish brown, and sometimes blackish brown. The wood grain is clear and straight.
The wood is a little light and soft, there is relatively little deviation, and processing such as cutting is easy. Slightly inferior in water resistance. Easy to crack vertically along the wood grain.
