(Features)
The sapwood is narrow and has a brownish grayish white. The heartwood is brown. The wood is rich in tannins and gradually dark over the years, changing from chestnut to blackish brown. The annual rings is distinct. The wood is heavy and elastic. It withstands water and moisture well, and the preservation stability of the wood is extremely high. Processing is a little difficult. It is easy to crack by nailing etc. and requires a temporary hole.

An original handmade pen that makes use of Gifu wood and Mino-washi(Japanese paper). Try to touch the warmth and fragrance of natural wood, and the elegant and beautiful Yuzen paper. It is a handmade pen that make use of the techniques and materials that are traditional Japanese crafts.
