(Features)
It is very good as wood and is treated as a famous tree. It is a rings porous wood material with a solid grain, and when polished, it becomes glossy, hard, elastic, and has little deviation. Due to its excellent preservation stability and high moisture resistance, it has long been the most used for the foundations of wooden houses and bathrooms. Furthermore, it is still useful as the only building material that can be used without using preservatives. (Color tone)
The sapwood is narrow and has a brownish gray white. The heartwood is brown. The wood is rich in tannins and gradually darkens over the years, changing from chestnut to dark brown. The annual rings are distinct.
