-Tousen kiln Kiyomizuyaki Ceramics-
The products of Tousen-gama(kiln) are characterized by the technique of underglaze painting in particular.
After painting, craftsmen glaze and fire wares at the same time. They create unique transparency, softness and countless numbers of different hues, though perhaps not so delicate and vivid as overglaze painting.
Needless to say, it is safe from lead-melting.
Both wheel thrown pottery and underglaze painting are their specialties.
We hope you will enjoy a rich life using beautiful Kyo-wares in your everyday meals.
