Using the Akita cedar known as one of Japan's foremost fine woods, the Odate Magewappa is made with the care of skilled craftsmen. It is a craft of Odate City, Akita Prefecture, and designated as a traditional craft of the country.
Magewappa uses straight grain with the most beautiful wood grain. Put the thin layer straight grain in to the boiling water and soften it, bend it quickly and dry it.
Sew one by one with cherry skin.
Insert the bottom so that there is no gap, finish up with a file.
Odate Kogeisha do everything ourselves from purchasing material to finishing it.
How To Care
Use detergent and wash it every day. Please do not soak it in water for hours.
