(Features)
It is a symbol of spring, the most beloved tree species by the Japanese, and the name of the most known flower. Yamazakura are representative of wild cherry tree and are the original species of cherry tree varieties. The heartwood is light reddish brown and creates a gentle atmosphere. It has hardness with outstanding workability, stickiness, does not easily chip, and water resistance. It has a gentle color and fine texture, so it becomes glossy just by polishing, and the more you use it, the more glossy it looks.

(Color tone)
The boundary of the sapwood and the heartwood is distinct, and the sapwood is yellowish-brown. The heartwood is brown and sometimes has dark green stripes. The annual rings are a little indistinct.
